Epsilon Theta Chapter
A Letter From Our President
Hello, and welcome to our website!
We are the Epsilon Theta chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Clemson University, and we’re so glad you’re here! I am Lola Benavente, and I have the honor and privilege of serving as the 2026 President of our beloved chapter.
I’m a senior political science major from Temecula, California. After I graduate, I’m planning to attend law school and practice constitutional law. Being president has helped me to grow and find my voice. I aspire to be a friend to every member of our chapter, just like how I have found my best friends through Gamma Phi.
Gamma Phi Beta means the world to me. If I could describe our chapter in one word, it would be home. Despite our large size, we are made up of a tight-knit group of girls who support each other through everything. I’ve loved seeing all of the genuine connections that have been formed through our chapter and am so lucky to have been able to build meaningful friendships of my own.
Our sisterhood was founded in 1874 at Syracuse University on the four core values of Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty. Today, by bonding at sisterhood events, organizing campus-wide fundraisers for Girls on the Run, studying together in the chapter room, and uplifting one another through both successes and challenges, our sisters thrive to uphold these values in our everyday lives. Our sisterhood has truly shown me how a new place hundreds of miles away can instantly feel like home.
As President, my goal is to guide my sisters in embracing Gamma Phi Beta’s mission, “To Inspire the Highest Type of Womanhood.” I strive to inspire kindness, hard work, passion, and individuality within our sisterhood. Gamma Phi Beta is made up of strong, unique women who love and accept one another for who we are.
Choosing Gamma Phi Beta just three years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I hope our website gives you a glimpse of how much this chapter means to our sisters. Thank you for being here to learn what it means to be a member of the Epsilon Theta chapter of Gamma Phi Beta!
With Love and In IIKE,
Lola Benavente
